Facilities

On May 9, 2009, a Grand Opening Celebration was held at the area's first Miracle League Field at Dunham Recreation in West Price Hill. Dignitaries representing the City of Cincinnati, CRC, The Cincinnati Reds, and The Miracle League were all present for the event.  Red's Hall of Fame broadcaster, Marty Brennaman, served as the emcee for the event and Aaron and Jen Harang spent the morning of Aaron's birthday with the kids from the Miracle League to celebrate the opening.  Local TV stations, including Fox 19, were present for the morning.  Fox 19's story on the event is linked here - http://tinyurl.com/pekoev

Phase I of the project is now up and running.  Funding is still needed to bring subsequent phases - which include lighting, a scoreboard, an expanded pavilion, and other amenities - to fruition.

Miracle League Field
In 2007, the Reds Community Fund and the Rotary Club of Cincinnati launched a capital campaign to build the first “Miracle League” field in Greater Cincinnati.  Members of both groups have created the Miracle League of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to oversee the construction of the project and to provide administrative and operational support.  The Dunham Recreation Area in Price Hill, a CRC regional destination, is an ideal home for the Miracle League.  Dunham boasts a new $3.5 million Aquatic Center (with zero-depth entry), a 1000 Hands Playground (handicap accessible), a 9 Hole golf course, ample parking and 24-hour security.  Adding a "Miracle League" field, which will provide children with disabilities a safe and permanent home for CRC's Miracle League/Adapted Baseball program, will complete the facility.
